I use my blog space to share thoughts, reflections and musings on the social media space, community building, WordPress, online culture and life in general. It also helps to serve as a launchpad for various projects that I’m involved in.

My thoughts and opinions may change and evolve with time. While I try to be correct in facts and figures I speak about – mistakes can happen and will be corrected and disclosed if they do. You are free to do with it what you will, provided that you give me credit, don’t make a profit and share whatever you build with it back to the community under the same license. Comments displayed on the site are the opinions of their respective authors and I am not responsible for them. I do, however, reserve the right to edit comments (without changing the intent of the message), moderate them or remove them from the site at any time. I will generally follow the rules below:
- If it’s your first time commenting on my site, your comment will be held in the moderation queue until I have time to read it.
- Comments that stray too far from the post’s topic will be removed – this isn’t an open message board.
- Comments containing personal attacks or promoting violence will not be tolerated and will be removed. You may be banned from commenting without warning or notice here for such actions, too.
- Foul and offensive language may be edited or removed without warning or notice.
- Spam will be treated as such and will be removed from the site without warning and will be marked as ‘spam’ in as many places as I can find.
- Some comments will be held for moderation by automated systems based on their content – even if they are not your first comment on the site. Those that I don’t consider spam will subsequently be approved.
- Trackbacks, Facebook messages, tweets and other content that appears in the comment section will be treated as if it were a direct comment.
There is no paid direct advertising on this site – though I reserve the right to change that in the future. As part of my agreement with Google, I do have AdSense advertisements on my search results page which I make money from.
I do accept and keep free products, services, cash and other forms of compensation as gifts from individuals and corporations. The acceptance of such gifts does not guarantee placement on the site. Where applicable, these relationships will be individually disclosed in the related post.
I do use affiliate programs and links to help subsidise the cost of doing business on the web. I also use URL redirection software and services to help me track clicks and these services may mask the affiliate code. I only do this with companies and products that I trust.
Relationships between me and any individual or corporation compensating me in any way may not always be disclosed when such relationship is not tied directly to posted content. No relationship or payments affect reviews or opinions of any goods or services provided.
